A cruel dog owner whose pets died in dreadful conditions has breached his 20-year ban from keeping animals by having ferrets and snakes.
Liam Reynolds was stripped of the right to look after pets after his dogs were found in appalling conditions, where some had starved to death and decomposed.
In February of last year Reynolds was given a 16-week prison sentence and put on probation for one year after admitting two counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal and a further charge of failing to ensure the needs of six dogs for which he was responsible.
In March 2018, police and RSPCA officers attended Reynolds’ caravan at Cocks Roost, St Just, having been concerned about dogs in his care in the past. They were said to have been deeply affected by what they discovered.
The bodies of two dogs were found, one had been left to decompose inside a plastic bag used to store animal feed and the other was found in a makeshift kennel.
The court heard that witnesses had described a "powerful smell of rotting flesh". During a search of the site remains of at least three other dogs were also discovered.

In addition to his prison sentence, Reynolds was disqualified from owning any animals for 20 years.
Now he has been found guilty of breaching that ban.

Reynolds, 29, whose address is listed in court as care of a property at Hayle, went on trial at Truro Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (February 19) accused of two counts of breaching a disqualification. It was alleged he breached in between July 31 and September 1, 2019, at Praze by being in possession of 10 ferrets and between March 1 and September 30, 2019, at Redruth by being in possession of three snakes.
He was found guilty by magistrates after a full-day trial. He is due to be sentenced later this month.
