Springtime Cornishman
A journey to and right across the West Country to far-flung Penzance
Picking up from Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and other stations we head to Cornwall with a journey through some of England’s most attractive scenery on this Saturday excursion. From Bristol we travel right across Somerset into Devon, down the Culm Valley into the Exe Estuary and along the Dawlish sea wall, over the steep gradients of South Devon to Plymouth and across the Tamar on Brunel’s masterpiece, the Royal Albert Bridge, into Cornwall for the following options:
Option A – Par (1200/1645) change here for the Newquay Branch Line and Options B and C.
Option B – Visit the Eden Project alighting at Par – Supplement £20 Adult £14 Junior
Option C – Visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan alighting at Par – Supplement £20 Adult £14 Junior
Option D – Truro (1220/1610)
Option E – St Erth (1250/1545) change here for the branchline to St Ives – Pay locally on the day
Option F – Explore Penzance (1305/1535) or perhaps visit the GWR Open Day at Long Rock Depot – Tickets must be booked in advance via the Billetto website. We understand there will be a bus shuttle between the railway station and depot.
