HAYLE PENWITH U3A:

Hayle U3A has the following programme this week.  Today, Thursday June 30, at 10am there is Games; then at 12.30pm for 1pm the U3A luncheon takes place. On Tuesday July 5 at 10am there is Art; then at 2pm the Film club meets. All sessions except Writing are held in the Philip Smith annexe to the Hayle Day Care Centre.  The Writing is held in Hayle Library.

ANGARRACK COFFEE MORNING:
Angarrack's next fortnightly coffee morning takes place this Friday, July 1, between 10am and noon at Angarrack Community Centre. All welcome.

HAYLE HERITAGE CENTRE:

Hayle Heritage Centre is now open for the summer season on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 11am and 4pm.  They are based on Foundry Square, on the historic site of Harvey's Foundry, and offer an insight into Hayle's rich social history. HAYLE IN BLOOM:

Hayle in Bloom will be taking part in the Hayle Celebration Day on Sunday July 3, between 12noon and 4pm, on the King George V Memorial Walk.  Do look out for their stall, they'd love to see you.  There will be plenty going on on the day, interest and entertaining.  See you there!

In other news, the gardens, baskets, and planters are all looking good, growing well, and will be judged by South West in Bloom in mid-July.  Wish them luck.

THE TORREY CANYON DISASTER:

The Cornubian Lodge No. 450 is holding an open meeting on Thursday July 7 at 7.30 pm where Mr. Martin Brockman will be giving an illustrated talk on the Torrey Canyon Disaster.  Invite friends and family to a social gathering at the Masonic Hall Hayle to hear a fascinating, illustrated talk on this famous disaster off the coast of Cornwall.  There will be a pasty supper with bar. £5 per head.  Avoid disappointment by booking with Peter Nicholls

HAYLE TWINNING ASSOCIATION:

The next coach trip the Association is running is a shopping trip to Exeter on Saturday November 5.  The cost is £15 p.p. please book early to reserve a seat. Call Maurice on 01209 753341.

RIDING FOR THE DISABLED 200 CLUB:

The winning numbers for the Riding for the Disabled 200 Club for May were 121, winning £50, 46 (£25), 16 (£19.50) and 153 (£15).  The winning numbers for the June Draw were 40 (£50), 64 (£25), 9 (£19.50) and 6 (£15).

SALVATION ARMY:

Today, Thursday June 30, there will be a coffee morning with stalls from 10am until 12noon.

ST ELWYN'S CHURCH:

This Sunday July 3, the Sixth Sunday after Trinity, Sung Eucharist will be celebrated by Father Malcolm at 9.30am. On Wednesday July 6, Said Eucharist will be celebrated by the Reverend Sharon Clifton at 10am.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after each service.

ST.JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, HAYLE:

St Joseph's Church in Hayle is part of the Roman Catholic Parish of the Holy Family. Mass was celebrated at 6.30pm on Saturday June 25 with readings from Kings - Galatians and gospel by Luke.

There will be NO Mass on Friday for the next three weeks.

Festival painting raffle "Sunrise Smeaton's pier" St Ives by local artist. There will be an opportunity to view this painting which will be coming round the three churches in the parish

Hayle celebration day Sunday July 3 at 12noon opening by the Mayor. At the King George V Memorial Walk.

Help required for men to assist decorating the home of a handicapped person. Contact Samuel Marsden on 756669.
