Boundary changes recommended by electoral panel to be discussed by Cornwall Council - Hayle Town Council has produced a letter for those who wish to object to the draft proposals from CC Boundary Review panel, which currently are being supported by the Government LGBC For Angarrack, HTC believes the impact of the Boundary Commissions proposals would be things like: Angarrack would be part of a very large Division stretching from Godrevy to Tolroy and from Barripper to the Hayle Estuary. We believe that this will make representation much more difficult and candidates reluctant to put their names forward. On the other hand the 'Hayle West' division is a much smaller geographical area. HTC proposal seeks to create two more equal divisions. read more » 47 CONSULTATION – TO CONSIDER AND COMMENT UPON THE LOCAL The Mayor of Hayle says proposed boundary changes by The proposed new Cornwall Council boundary - have your say - This stage of the consultation closes on 17 September 2018 Gwinear-Gwithian and Hayle East ED

Hayle Mayor Slams Boundary Changes
Cornwall Council could leave large areas of the town and surrounding
area without effective representation in County Hall. Plans under
consultation would see one Cornwall Councillor representing most of
Hayle, and another the huge area of Gwithian, Connor Downs, Eastern
Hayle and the area to the south of the town. read more »180701 | Gwinear-Gwithian and Hayle East to replace Hayle South | Boundary Review Update | Local Government Boundary Commission

Due to the small electorate of the
existing St Ives constituency, we propose
that it is enlarged along the coast to
incorporate the entirety of St Ives Bay
and the town of Hayle, with which there
are close geographic and communication
links. Similarly, due to the small electorate
of the existing Camborne and Redruth
constituency, exacerbated by moving
Hayle to the proposed St Ives constituency,
we propose that it is also enlarged along
the south coast to incorporate the towns
of Falmouth and Penryn. Consequently,
our proposed name for the constituency
is Falmouth and Camborne. 171207 | Boundary Review Update | Hayle Town Council minutes
