Official estimates indicate around 20% of people who test positive for Covid-19 go on to experience long term issues.Data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) claims 186,000 positive cases have been impacted by continuing symptoms for up to 12 weeks, with some evidence of many patients being unable to return to work and full capabilities properly for up to six months.
