Co-op to be sentenced for death of customer in Truro store
One of the UK's top supermarket companies is to appear before Truro Crown Court this morning to be sentenced in connection with the death of a customer.
The Co-operative Group has previously pleaded guilty to to a charge under Section 3 of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 following the death of shopper Stanley May during an incident two years ago.

Two small Cornish villages have topped the list of places in the UK for election registration searches on Google.
Pendeen on the Penwith Peninsula and in the St Ives constituency and Ponsanooth, between Penryn and Truro, in the Camborne and Redruth constituency, spiked up on Google for showing the highest number of searches from electors on how to register to vote in the June 8 General Election.

More than 600 people have signed a petition to see a hard-hitting BBC drama about sexual exploitation shown in schools in Cornwall and Devon.
The BBC three-part drama
Three Girls first aired on Tuesday night and came to a conclusion on Thursday.

A set of public toilets were sealed off in Liskeard last night after the discovery of a body.
Police were called to the public conveniences at around 6pm yesterday evening, and immediately sealed the area off while an investigation took place.

A woman was airlifted to the Royal Cornwall Hospital after falling on a cliff path at St Ives this afternoon (Saturday). She had a suspected broken arm.
