Sun 2pm & 5pm | Circus | Hayle Recreation Ground
CELEBRATING 50 years in show- business, the world-famous Gerry Cottle's Circus is back for the very last time with its outstanding new production, WOW! 50 Acts in 100 Minutes.
To celebrate What's On has ten family tickets to give away.
WOW! is a spectacular new show featuring a host of world-class circus acts from around the globe, including the breathtaking Chico & Ernesto two-man high wire act from Italy who walk the wire blindfolded.
The death-defying Los Marinos wheel of death from Columbia, the six big top beauties flying high on the aerial silks, the somersaulting, spiralling and supreme ten African acrobats, International Illusionists the Magical Melvilles, and comedy capers from Cottle's Crazy Comics to name a few.
All this is infused with a visionary new wave of remarkably talented Circus Kids who have been trained at Gerry Cottle's pioneering training school in Wookey Hole, Somerset.
Also included in this awe-inspiring ensemble of visual delights is the weird and wonderful talents of Mad Max Norton the crossbow king, who shoots an apple off the head of his beautiful assistant from across the circus ring.
Created by the circus king himself Gerry Cottle, he said: "Circus in the UK needed a kick up the butt so much so I decided to call my new show WOW!, to set aside from some of the so called circuses touring the UK.
"I am so pleased to be back and show people everywhere the joy and magic of great Circus.
"For the same price as a cinema ticket I give you my personal guarantee you will see some brilliant acts from around the world, and witness incredible live entertainment at its very best."
Gerry Cottle's Circus is synonymous with family entertainment and became the most travelled circus in the world with tours as far afield as Hong Kong, Oman, South America, Iceland, Singapore and the Middle East.
This year marks 50 years from the time that the young Gerry ran away from home to join the circus.
You can see the show on Friday to Sunday at Launceston RFC, Polson Bridge (A388); 5pm and 7.30pm; Saturday 2pm and 5pm and Sunday, 3pm.
Tuesday, July 17 to Thursday, July 19; Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge, Tuesday and Wednesday, 5pm and 7.30pm, Thursday, 5pm.
