Special traffic officers to patrol Cornwall's roads

Special traffic officers are going to patrol the A30 in Cornwall over the summer holidays.

Highways England says the patrols are to help holiday makers and roads users on the Duchy's main trunk road.  read more »

Hayle Art Society Exhibition Sun 4th (last day)

HAYLE ART SOCIETY is holding their annual exhibition at Phillack Church Hall until 4th August. The exhibition will be open daily from 10am to 6 pm (10 to 4 on Sunday) and paintings, crafts, and cards will be on sale.

There will also be mounted but unframed work for sale, the proceeds of which will be donated to St. Julia’s Hospice. Raffle tickets will also be on sale, many of the excellent prizes having been donated by local businesses. Admission is free.

The mayor welcomed Neil Farrington to the meeting and he in turn introduced his colleagues Steve Jermy, of James Fisher Marine (formerly Mojo Marine) and Graeme Hunt, of CEP, who would soon be taking over from Neil’s current role of Project  Development  Officer.  Neil explained that he would soon be leaving CEP altogether but that he would still be working on this project but working in Hayle from the Renewable Energy Hub on North Quay.  read more »
