New councillor elected for Gwinear-Gwithian and St Erth
12:00pm Monday 10th December 2012 in West Cornwall
Anthony Lionel Pascoe (Conservative Party) has been elected as the new Cornwall councillor for the Gwinear-Gwithian and St Erth electoral division.
Six other candidates stood for election: Yvonne Lesley Bates (Liberal Democrats) 121 votes; Derek John Elliott (Independent) 24 votes; Sheila Furneaux (Independent) 167 votes; John Ellery Gillingham (Mebyon Kernow) 58 votes; Malcolm Hurst (The Labour Party Candidate) 76 votes; Michael John Roberts (Independent) 163 votes.
The turnout was 25.6 per cent.
