Police investigating a road traffic collision at St Erth, Cornwall, on Saturday 24 September, are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a Lexmoto scooter and a grey Audi A1 car near The Smugglers Inn, Calais Road, St Erth, at around 12.15pm.

The motorcyclist, a 25-year-old local man, sustained life changing injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital.

The road was closed in both directions while the scene was examined and reopened at around 3.25pm.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
