Woman trapped in sinking mud in Cornwall

A woman has been plucked to safety after getting trapped in sinking mud in Cornwall.
Firefighters from Hayle and Tolvaddon were called to the area around Millpond on Foundry Hill.
The casualty was stuck up to her knees on Sunday afternoon.
Crews used lines to help guide her onto stable ground.
A spokesperson from Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two appliances from Hayle and Tolvaddon attended a call to a female who had gotten stuck in sinking mud".
The spokesperson added that the woman was stuck up to her knees and that crews stabilised her using lines.
They said: "Once stable they used the lines to guide the female onto an area of hard standing".
